Issues: Utility Costs and & Reliable Power (No New Taxes)
Families are getting hit from every direction — higher prices, higher costs, and higher bills. Utility costs should not be another burden caused by poor planning and bureaucracy. I’m running to bring experienced, practical leadership to Glendale so we can protect ratepayers, strengthen reliability, and keep costs under control — without raising taxes.
Lower bills. Reliable power. Local accountability.More than three decades ago, I started a small finance business in Glendale alongside my brother. What began as a family effort grew into a lifelong career centered on helping people. I’ve worked with first-time homebuyers, small business owners, and families striving to build stability and security. Over the years, I’ve helped thousands of residents navigate some of the most important financial decisions of their lives—always guided by the belief that honest advice and education can change outcomes. Over time, our business expanded to serve clients in 34 states nationwide and worked with mortgage-backed securities firms around the world, giving me a strong understanding of both local needs and broader economic forces.
Glendale residents deserve reliable power and predictable utility costs — without higher taxes, mandates, or service cuts.
Let’s get Ronnie elected.
Why I’m Prepared to Lead on Utility Costs
Glendale is unique because we have local control through Glendale Water & Power (GWP). That means we don’t have to wait for outside agencies to solve problems for us — we can make smart local decisions that protect Glendale residents.
For the last 15 years, I have been involved with my brother in developing hundreds of megawatts of solar power farms for international markets. That experience gave me real- world knowledge of energy production, cost structure, timelines, and what mistakes create expensive failures. I understand what can and cannot be done — and that’s the practical experience I’m bringing to Glendale.

My Utility Cost Plan for Glendale
1) Better Planning to Prevent Rate Shock
Utility bills rise when a city is forced into last-minute decisions or expensive peak-hour
purchases. I will push for stronger long-term planning and oversight so Glendale stays ahead of volatility.
Goal: Reduce costly peak-demand purchases before they hit residents’ bills.
2) Reduce Peak Demand (Where Costs Spike)
During heat waves and high-demand periods, power becomes more expensive. Reducing peak strain helps control costs for everyone — including residents who never install solar. I support practical steps that reduce peak demand, strengthen reliability, and protect ratepayers from avoidable cost spikes.
3) Cut Red Tape That Drives Up Costs
Even when residents want solar, battery backup, panel upgrades, or energy improvements, delays and confusion can drive up the final cost. I will advocate for: Faster, clearer permitting for standard residential energy upgrades Better coordination between City departments and GWP Straightforward online guidance so residents know what to expect Less delay = less cost.
4) Support Voluntary Solar + Battery Options (No Mandates)
Solar and battery systems aren’t right for every household — but for residents who want them, Glendale should make the process simpler and more affordable. Local generation can reduce grid strain and improve resilience during extreme heat and outages. I support voluntary programs that: Encourage solar and battery adoption responsibly Prioritize working families and seniors where possible Improve emergency preparedness and reliability
5) Transparency and Fairness in Utility Billing
Residents deserve utility billing policies that are clear, predictable, and fair. I will push for transparency so ratepayers understand what they pay, why changes happen, and how decisions are made.
No New Taxes Guarantee
Glendale residents deserve leadership focused on results: more reliable power, more predictable utility costs, and responsible oversight. I will fight for smart, practical solutions that protect ratepayers and keep decisions local and accountable.
No New Taxes
No New Mandates
No Cuts to City Services
